Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a technique that teaches individuals to control certain physiological functions of their body - such as heart rate, muscle tension, breathing, or skin temperature - by providing real-time feedback from electronic monitoring devices. We use Heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback, which assesses variations in heartbeats.

How it works

-Sensors are attached to the body to measure specific bodily processes (e.g., brainwaves, heartbeat, muscle activity).

-The data is displayed on a screen or through sounds, allowing the person to see how their body is responding.

-With practice, individuals can learn to influence these processes - for example, slowing their breathing or relaxing muscles.

uses

-Stress and anxiety management

-Migraine and tension headache treatment

-Chronic pain control

-High blood pressure

-ADHD and PTSD

-Insomnia
