Training and Supervision

Psychology Practicum:

Enlightened Mental Health offers a comprehensive practicum program for advanced graduate students in psychology seeking high-quality clinical training. Applicants must be enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral or master’s program in clinical or counseling psychology. Preference will be given to students who have already obtained a master’s degree. 

Practicum placements are available for 2 or 3 days per week (16–24 hours weekly). Students may select from assessment-only, therapy-only, or hybrid (combining therapy and psychological assessment) placements.

Supervision:

• Full-time practicum students will receive a minimum of two hours per week of individual supervision with a licensed psychologist.
• Elective practicum students will receive a minimum of one hour per week of individual supervision with a licensed psychologist.

Practicum Schedule:

• Practicum begins at the start of the Fall semester and continues through the end of the Summer semester. Extensions beyond the Summer semester may be considered with approval from both the practicum supervisor and the student’s academic program. Adjustments to the schedule may be made under special circumstances.

 Training:

• Mandatory orientation and training will be held 1–2 weeks prior to the practicum start date. Training will cover agency policies and procedures, EHR system use, assessment administration, scoring, and report writing (for assessment and hybrid placements), SOAP note documentation, and treatment planning. Practicum goals will be collaboratively established during this period.
